Fiveamp, the independent San Francisco-based studio behind PickCrafter, wanted to grow monetization without hurting the game’s user experience. With only one fixed rewarded video ad placement in place, the team needed a data-driven monetization partner to help optimize implementation and preserve a non-disruptive player experience.

Unity recommended adding a second rewarded video placement, using seasonal Easter creatives and a reward-choice mechanic that let players choose one reward or watch an ad for three rewards. The additional placement drove strong results for Fiveamp: engagement nearly doubled, revenue increased by 165%, ARPDAU rose 2.5x, and DEU grew 2x, all while DAU stayed flat.
