Japanese mobile game studio Barows, a long-running developer of games for the Japanese market, wanted to improve monetization by introducing in-app bidding across its mobile titles. The company had been using a local SSP but saw room to increase profitability, so it turned to Unity and its LevelPlay mediation solution for stronger revenue performance and support.
Unity helped Barows integrate LevelPlay first into Match3 Puzzle Game and CraneGame, providing guidance on optimization, network selection, ad placement strategy, and best practices. The results were strong: ARPDAU rose 46.6% on iOS and 8.4% on Android for Match3 Puzzle Game, and 33.3% on iOS and 47.3% on Android for CraneGame. After expanding LevelPlay across its full portfolio, Barows saw average ARPDAU increases of 33% on iOS and 32% on Android versus its previous monetization setup.
