IEC Games, a Vietnam-based mobile game studio known for its snackable puzzle titles and 600M+ downloads, was looking to grow its Water Sort Puzzle game while dealing with rising CPI on traditional user acquisition channels and maintaining strong ROAS targets, especially in the US. To diversify acquisition, they partnered with Unity and explored Aura from Unity.
Unity helped IEC Games run campaigns across Aura’s placements, including App Discovery Experience, Game Spotlights, and Swipe Selection, then recommended switching to the Scale Optimizer to improve performance through machine learning. After testing, IEC Games saw a 10% ROAS lift versus non-optimizer campaigns and ultimately achieved a 41% increase in D7 ROAS with Unity’s Aura; the studio has since expanded the partnership to all of its titles.
