Nexters, the mobile game company behind *Hero Wars*, wanted to improve the profitability of its rewarded video ads, which were too hard for players to reach and not engaging enough. To address this challenge, Nexters partnered with Unity and its ad strategy consultancy team, using the Unity LevelPlay mediation platform.
Unity’s consultancy team analyzed Nexters’ rewarded video placements and recommended simpler, more accessible placements tied to player motivation, including an ad shown right after players ran out of coins. After implementing the new placement, Nexters increased ad engagement by 73% and daily engaged users (DEU) by 59%, while also improving the player experience.
