A Unity Case Study
Monomi Park, the studio behind Slime Rancher, turned to Unity as it set out to build Slime Rancher 2, a bigger sequel with higher-fidelity graphics and stronger performance than the original. The team needed tools and technology that could support a physics-heavy, multiplatform game without requiring them to build everything from scratch.
Using Unity’s HDRP, source code access, editor tooling, and NVIDIA PhysX, Monomi Park was able to customize visuals, streamline workflows, and simplify development across PC and Xbox Series X|S. With Unity, the studio saved engineering time, improved performance, and shipped successfully, selling 100,000 copies in six hours and 300,000 in the first few days after launch.
