AliExpress Russia, a major online marketplace joint venture, needed to acquire quality new users who had not yet made a purchase on its platform. To reach incremental growth beyond traditional channels, the team turned to Unity’s ironSource Aura product, looking for a way to connect with new users earlier in the device journey and scale efficiently in Russia and the CIS.
Unity’s ironSource Aura campaign ran on Samsung devices across Russia and several CIS countries, using all available placements and no creative-heavy setup. The approach helped AliExpress Russia quickly exceed its Cost Per New Buyer KPI and drive more than 400K installs, with the brand reporting stronger performance and engaged users who made purchases.
