A Unify Case Study

Preview of the Sauder Woodworking Company Case Study

Sauder Woodworking Deployed Unify’s Openscape VOIP Solutions To Enable Mobility, Collaboration, And Much More

Sauder Woodworking Co., a third-generation family-run manufacturer and North America’s leading ready-to-assemble furniture producer, operates a nearly 4 million sq. ft. facility in Archbold, Ohio with about 2,000 employees. Facing an aging, unsupported PBX that posed operational risk, Sauder selected Unify and Black Box to modernize enterprise telephony and contact center capabilities.

Sauder deployed Unify’s OpenScape Voice and Contact Center across its U.S. sites (about 2,000 extensions), plus unified and web collaboration tools and third‑party integrations (call accounting, e911, call recording, room-to-room video). The result is a scalable, carrier-grade, centrally managed IP voice platform that enabled mobility, presence, voice/video conferencing, desktop sharing, chat, one-number service and richer contact center functionality while removing the risk of the old system.
