Pearson launches 3 MVPs in 4 sprints with Unboxed

Pearson, the world's largest education company, faced the challenge of transitioning from a traditional publishing model to a digital-first approach to unlock a vital new revenue stream. Their waterfall process was slowing progress, so they partnered with the vendor Unboxed to introduce agile practices and accelerate product development.

Unboxed embedded their team to coach in agile and lean development, converting project managers to product owners and establishing Scrum ceremonies. They kick-started three legacy projects, using co-design and regular deployments to quickly build and test MVPs. As a result, within just four sprints, Pearson launched three minimal viable products, including one publicly at a major education technology event, successfully opening the new digital learning revenue stream.
