Char.gy launches 900+ on-street EV charge points with Unboxed

The customer, Char.gy, faced the challenge of supporting the widespread uptake of electric vehicles in the UK, particularly for the large percentage of households with no access to off-street parking. They approached the vendor, Unboxed, to help develop a viable and convenient on-street lamppost charging solution.

Unboxed developed both the physical charge point hardware for lamppost integration and the accompanying software platform to manage the entire charging and payment experience. This solution has resulted in over 900 live, public lamppost EV charge points being installed across the UK, directly increasing the availability of open charging infrastructure and supporting the shift to zero-emission vehicles.
