Whetting the Appetite for Automation with Pilot Trials

Ajinomoto Thailand, the Thai operation of the global food manufacturer Ajinomoto, needed a better way to handle repetitive finance and accounting data entry work. Employees were spending too much time manually transferring, converting, and checking reports and transactions, which limited their ability to focus on higher-value tasks. UiPath helped them explore automation through pilot trials and RPA training.

UiPath implemented automation using UiPath Automation Developer, UiPath Orchestrator, and UiPath Unattended Robot to streamline Excel-based reporting and data entry processes in Finance & Accounting, later expanding into IT. Since 2019, Ajinomoto Thailand has deployed 20 automation processes, with 7 to 10 run daily, saving about 14,000 minutes per month. Time spent on the Daily Cashflow Report and Record Impairment Fixed Asset processes dropped by 95% and 98%, respectively.
