VCU Lays the Groundwork for End-to-End Automation

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), a public research university, wanted to support digital learning while reducing operational costs as higher education faced rapid change and tighter budgets. Working with UiPath and its RPA approach, VCU looked for a way to improve productivity and free staff from repetitive, manual work, especially in finance-related grant processing.

UiPath helped VCU build an end-to-end automation foundation starting with grant creation and other Ellucian Banner finance processes. The results included 2x faster grant processing, 100% accuracy in grant and financial processing tasks, 40% reusable code for Banner processes, and a 73% reduction in time to production, giving VCU a scalable base for expanding automation across the university.
