West Tennessee Healthcare, a not-for-profit healthcare system with 19 locations across Tennessee, needed a better way to manage heavy patient and insurance administration after implementing Cerner Revenue Cycle. The team wanted to improve efficiency in claims, billing, and eligibility work, but lacked the in-house resources to build out RPA on their own.
Working with UiPath partner CampTek Software, West Tennessee Healthcare implemented UiPath RPA bots to automate encounter-level adjustments, action code application, and work item identification, along with other billing-related processes. The bots are now in daily production, helping save hundreds of hours of manual work, improve accuracy, and accelerate processing for tasks like back-scheduling, claims reconciliation, and reducing uncollectible balances.
