The Leading Global Corporate Immigration Firm Ups Its Automation Commitment

Berry Appleman & Leiden is a global corporate immigration law firm that faced heavy, repetitive paperwork—especially document generation for H‑1B visa applications—and needed to scale automation while upskilling staff. To meet that challenge they partnered with UiPath, deploying Orchestrator, Studio and Unattended Robots to reduce manual processing and streamline immigration workflows.

UiPath implemented RPA across three key processes, putting 10 unattended robots into production to handle H‑1B document generation; over six months the robots completed work equivalent to 16 full‑time employees and saved 10,000 staff hours, with processes running 100% unattended. UiPath continues to support BAL’s Cobalt platform and the firm plans to double its robot fleet, enabling better client service and freeing legal staff for higher‑value work.
