Telkomsel says hello to happier employees with intelligent automation

Telkomsel, Indonesia’s largest wireless carrier, struggled with manual back-office work—its accounts payable team processed roughly 3,000 invoices per month, leading to monotony, long payment cycles and heavy validation overhead. To modernize operations, Telkomsel partnered with Deloitte and UiPath to deploy an Intelligent Automation (IA) platform using Robotic Process Automation.

UiPath’s IA solution, including intelligent document processing, automated invoice categorization and data ingestion so human validation is required in under 10% of cases; automated processes delivered 30–70% reductions in processing time, halved time for tasks like the daily tax catalogue, and shortened payment cycles. Telkomsel is building a Centre of Excellence and scaling its automation program with UiPath to free employees for higher‑value work.
