Swiss Re, a global reinsurer, partnered with UiPath and adopted the UiPath Enterprise RPA Platform to free employee capacity and eliminate repetitive, low‑value work. Facing slow, manual middle‑office processes—notably a bank account reconciliation that took 15 business days—Swiss Re needed a scalable automation partner to streamline operations and let staff focus on higher‑value tasks.

UiPath delivered a pilot Robot nicknamed “Neil” to automate the bank reconciliation: it downloaded bank statements and ledger data, matched balances in Excel, uploaded evidence to a central repository, and generated a rules‑based summary report that escalated exceptions to humans. The pilot cut reconciliation time from 15 to 3 business days (an 80% improvement), and the UiPath partnership has since scaled via a Center of Excellence to automate 100 processes, boosting efficiency and freeing employees to work on growth initiatives.
