Södra uses Robotic Process Automation to let employees see the wood from the trees

Södra, a large Sweden-based forest industry group with 3,000 employees and 53,000 members, wanted to improve employee experience by freeing staff from repetitive administrative work. With UiPath robotic process automation (RPA), the company aimed to let employees focus more on member-facing, knowledge-based work, recruit the best people, and increase satisfaction.

UiPath implemented RPA across Södra’s business processes, including forestry planning and data entry, using three robots that now handle hundreds of tasks across more than 20 processes. The first automation took about two months, and the result has been faster, more consistent planning, improved process quality, released employee time, and the ability to absorb growing workload without increasing headcount.
