Shinshu University Hospital Standardized Accounting Decisions with UiPath AI Center

Shinshu University Hospital in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, needed a better way to standardize accounting data entry and reduce the burden of complex journal-code decisions under strict Hospital Accounting Rules. Working with UiPath, the hospital looked to combine AI with its existing RPA to improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in its accounting workflows.

UiPath implemented UiPath AI Center alongside its RPA processes to automate accounting code classification, with rules-based automation handling cases AI could not decide alone. The result was a more standardized and compliant accounting process, 4,559 work hours saved in the first two years, and AI development that took 123 hours and cost about 66% less to start than other AI solutions.
