SDI Trains UiPath RPA Citizen Developers to Power Digital Transformation

SDI, a high-tech MRO supply company and digital supply chain provider, wanted to scale its digital transformation with robotic process automation (RPA) but only had a small internal RPA team. As demand for automation grew, SDI needed a way to identify the right processes and expand capacity without adding overhead, so it turned to UiPath and Studio X to help build a citizen developer program.

UiPath helped SDI train an all-star group of citizen developers across departments to automate repetitive work and improve process consistency. The results included more than 10 citizen developers, with 20 expected by 2022, and over 10,000 orders confirmed using RPA each month; SDI also automated reporting, data ingestion, order verification, and package tracking, driving major efficiency gains and sharply reducing errors.
