RPA Helps Little Things Make a Huge Difference for CDR

Central Denmark Region (CDR), a healthcare region serving about 1.3 million people in Denmark, needed to make its hospital and administrative services more agile, responsive, and efficient as part of its digital transformation strategy. Working with UiPath and its RPA platform, CDR looked for a way to speed up processes, reduce manual work, and help staff better serve patients and internal customers across many hospitals and applications.

UiPath helped CDR build an automation program with local development, reusable code libraries, and integrations with ServiceNow, enabling new automations to go from concept to production in about 10 working days instead of up to 24 months. Since launching in 2019, CDR has automated nearly 80 processes, handled 85,000+ tasks in 2020 alone, and saved more than 50,000 hours, while one pharmacy task was cut from over 1 million keystrokes a year to 40,000 and accelerated by 50x.
