SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge, part of the SpareBank 1 alliance, is a Norwegian banking and financial services provider that was burdened by heavy manual paperwork, data entry, and administration across customer service, online banking, and credit operations. After building an RPA Center of Excellence in 2016, the bank still had many needs that were not prioritized, leading teams to look for a more grassroots automation approach with UiPath software.
Using UiPath, the customer teams built attended robots and automations on their own, starting with online banking requests and then expanding into cards, account opening, loan, and credit cleanup processes. UiPath helped SpareBank 1 create 25 automations, reduce mistakes by 70%, and increase speed by 80%, saving significant time and improving staff satisfaction while the CoE focused on larger enterprise projects.
