A UiPath Case Study
Palkeet, Finland’s shared services center for finance and HR, needed a way to reduce heavy manual work across purchase invoices, HR data, and other back-office processes while improving service quality and lowering process costs. Working with UiPath and its robotic process automation platform, the organization identified dozens of automation opportunities and began building a digital workforce to support finance and HR operations.
UiPath helped Palkeet deploy software robots that now run hundreds of automated tasks, including invoice checks, reconciliations, and HR data handling. The results have been significant: 28 robots have completed 490 automated tasks, 1.8 million invoices have been processed by robots, and Palkeet reports 93,000 person-hours saved since 2016, including 33,000 hours of manual-labor savings in 2020. Productivity has increased by around 20% since 2017, while employees have been freed for more specialist, higher-value work.
