Nonprofit, The New York Foundling, Saves 100,000 hours in Manual Work Annually with UiPath

The New York Foundling, one of the oldest social service organizations in the state, was weighed down by paper‑based processes and staff spending hours manually copying data across at least five systems, contributing to high turnover. To modernize workflows, The New York Foundling partnered with UiPath through the UiPath Bridge program, leveraging UiPath robotic process automation (RPA) and donated employee expertise to target time‑consuming front‑office tasks.

UiPath ran an RPA pilot that automated data entry between systems so clinicians no longer had to copy and paste information—saving about 4 hours per clinician per week (16 hours per month) and roughly 100,000 hours of manual work annually. The UiPath software robots and support freed staff for training and direct client engagement, helping the Foundling improve efficiency and pursue broader culture change.
