NTT Docomo, Japan’s largest mobile telecommunications carrier, needed to modernize its app delivery foundation while dealing with legacy systems, heavy reliance on manual testing, and growing pressure to support frequent releases and a major migration cycle. The Service Design Department turned to UiPath Test Suite to help automate testing for mobile apps and reduce dependence on individual testers’ knowledge.

With UiPath Test Suite, NTT Docomo built reusable automated test cases for both apps and servers, enabling end-to-end testing and stronger support for agile development. The results included an 88% reduction in release duration, test execution time cut from one day to one hour, and release cycles accelerating by 16x; the team also expects automation to eliminate one-third of migration testing work and continue expanding its use across more platforms.
