Case Study: Skanska achieves significant efficiency gains and reduced business risk with UiPath

Increasing efficiency, improving productivity and minimizing risk at Skanska

Skanska, a global construction and project development company, faced resource pressures and the need to boost efficiency, productivity and reduce risk after implementing a new ERP. To address repetitive, error-prone finance and HR tasks, Skanska partnered with UiPath to deploy Robotic Process Automation (RPA) beginning in its Shared Service center in 2017.

UiPath implemented RPA "digital colleagues" (notably Bob and HRobin), helped build a Centre of Excellence, and rolled out 35 automated processes, returning over 10,000 hours to the business annually. The UiPath solution cut a payroll QA task from one person-week to five minutes per day, reduced automation maintenance from about a day a week to ~30 minutes per month, and now runs five robots—improving speed, quality and lowering business risk.
