HDI Versicherung AG Austria, part of the HDI group, needed a better way to move data between disparate systems, reduce manual, error-prone work, and free employees from repetitive tasks. The insurer also wanted a scalable approach that could be used across departments and later support software testing. To address this, HDI turned to UiPath, using its RPA platform and later UiPath Test Suite for test automation.

With UiPath, HDI automated around 25 processes and deployed 2 software robots, achieving an automation rate of 92% and saving about 600 person days in a year and a half. The company also automated about 900 nightly regression tests and improved software development efficiency by enabling testers to build test cases without programming expertise. By using UiPath, HDI reduced transfer errors, sped up operations, and gained a flexible automation foundation for future expansion.
