Harnessing the power of Intelligent Automation for AI-enabled transformation

Sunway Group, one of Malaysia’s largest conglomerates with over 16,000 employees across 13 business divisions, needed to harmonize and optimize operations that ran on multiple ERP platforms and disparate business applications. To drive an AI-enabled transformation, Sunway selected UiPath’s Intelligent Automation/RPA platform for its strong ROI, ease of use for non-technical staff, scalability and integration capability with more than 95% of existing systems.

Working with Deloitte, Sunway implemented a three-phase Intelligent Automation program—opportunity assessment, CoE and operating model setup, then automation “sprints”—built on UiPath tools and training (UiPath Academy). The initiative automated 35 high-value processes, cut processing times by 30%, freed up the equivalent of 25 FTEs, trained 18 in-house IA experts certified on UiPath, and streamlined operations across all 13 divisions, delivering measurable cost and productivity gains while enabling ongoing AI-driven improvements with UiPath.
