Encova Insurance, a top-20 U.S. mutual insurer serving more than 2,000 agents across 28 states, needed to improve customer retention and streamline several manual insurance operations after its merger. To support its automation journey, it partnered with UiPath and began using UiPath automation and Document Understanding to reduce time-consuming tasks in policy intake, claims invoicing, and endorsements.
UiPath helped Encova automate customer retention outreach, claims invoice processing, and policy intake workflows, allowing staff to spend more time with customers and less time on manual data entry. The results were significant: 99% document understanding accuracy, a 98% reduction in policy intake time per year, and a 95% reduction in annual processing time for commercial lines endorsements, along with fewer errors and improved morale.
