Elisa, a leading telecommunications company in Finland and a UiPath customer since 2017, needed a better way to discover, document and prioritize automation opportunities across scattered business units. Teams were using disparate Excel files and inconsistent ROI methods, and manual Process Definition Documents (PDDs) made it slow and error-prone to move ideas into development. To address this, Elisa evaluated UiPath’s human-led process discovery tools, Automation Hub and Task Capture.

UiPath implemented Automation Hub to centralize idea intake, standardize ROI metrics and make the automation pipeline transparent, and deployed Task Capture to auto-generate PDDs and process flowcharts, cutting documentation time and simplifying SME involvement. The UiPath solution accelerated Elisa’s pipeline and boosted employee engagement with automation—building on results that include €10M in annual savings, 500+ processes automated and more than 7,000 hours reclaimed per month—while enabling rapid documentation of new ideas (around 20 processes captured so far).
