Mutua Madrileña, one of Spain’s largest insurance companies, needed a way to sustain rapid growth, support operations, and keep customer service high while controlling costs. The company also wanted to advance its digital transformation without disrupting day-to-day business, so it turned to UiPath and its robotic process automation (RPA) platform to find a fit for its systems and mainframe architecture.

UiPath helped Mutua Madrileña launch an RPA program that started with a proof of concept in 2017 and expanded into a formal robotics operations center. The company automated 100 processes, with robots performing 4 million operations and releasing more than 75,000 hours for higher-value work, while creating an additional 14,000 hours of productivity; it also aimed to automate 85% of its verification process and continue expanding automation with AI and NLP.
