Cutters salon bolsters its rapid business expansion plans through RPA

Cutters, a Norway-based salon chain known for its 15-minute, fixed-price haircuts, faced an urgent scaling challenge as it planned rapid expansion to more than 200 locations. To add capacity, boost accuracy and eliminate error-prone manual scheduling and reporting, Cutters turned to UiPath and its Enterprise RPA Platform—opting to design processes for automation from the start rather than delaying with proofs of concept.

UiPath implemented RPA to automate staff scheduling, consolidated management reporting and additional production and on‑demand workflows (published via Orchestrator), with the company’s robots—nicknamed “Edward”—handling data pulls and schedule creation. The automation delivered considerably higher scheduling accuracy, reduced risks of over- or under-staffing, provides consolidated morning reports for faster action, and supports Cutters’ aggressive expansion by enabling rapid, repeatable process deployments (targeting two-week implementation cycles). UiPath’s solution thus added the operational capacity and reliability Cutters needed to scale.
