Automation fuels ambition for SOCAR Turkey

SOCAR Turkey, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic, needed to reduce the burden of hundreds of repetitive, error-prone manual processes across customs, compliance, finance, and other departments. Working with UiPath, the company began using robotic process automation (RPA) to free employees from low-value tasks so they could focus on more strategic work.

UiPath implemented software robots and a growing automation center of excellence, along with citizen developer training and a process for capturing automation ideas. The result was 58 automations delivered with five robots, 30,000 staff hours saved, 90% of invoices now managed by automation, and fewer errors and bottlenecks, while also improving employee work-life balance and enabling broader digital transformation.
