LG Uplus, a subsidiary of LG Group offering wireless, telephone and broadband services, faced the need to improve labor productivity and accelerate digital transformation. To avoid costly, slow outsourcing and enable rapid, user-driven automation, LG Uplus adopted a Citizen Developer Model and selected the UiPath Enterprise RPA Platform for its intuitive UI, training programs and strong technical support.

Using UiPath, LG Uplus trained employees as citizen developers, ran RPA hackathons and built automation in-house, deploying about 160 tasks in the Network Division and roughly 300 tasks companywide. The UiPath implementation has saved approximately 70,000 hours per year since 2018, reduced manual errors and costs, and freed staff to focus on higher‑value work.
