HBL, Pakistan’s leading bank, wanted to create a more inclusive banking experience while reducing the burden of manual, repetitive work in compliance and across the business. With UiPath automation, the bank began by automating customer screening in the compliance department and expanded its automation program enterprise-wide.

UiPath implemented AI and automation that now support HBL’s screening and operational processes, including 50 robots managing 135 processes. The results include 95% of new customer screenings handled by bots, a 98% accuracy rate on sanction screening checks, and 341,000 hours saved annually, while also improving efficiency, employee morale, and HBL’s broader digital transformation efforts.
