TUI, part of TUI Group, needed a flexible web platform to power TUI.com as its holiday portal and booking engine, with the goals of inspiring customers, supporting easy holiday search, and representing multiple TUI brands online. The company had to manage a multisite setup across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland while keeping content consistent and editable in a secure way.

TYPO3 provided the CMS foundation for TUI.com, paired with an Angular frontend and Java-based API integrations for offers, landing pages, and the booking engine. TYPO3 also supported staging, strict editor password rules, and automated CI/CD via GitLab Runner with tests and checks. The result was a powerful, scalable platform for one of Germany’s leading travel portals, successfully running multiple localized sites from a shared TYPO3 base.
