Square Enix wanted to build excitement and purchase intent for the launch of FINAL FANTASY XV during E3, using Twitter to reach both loyal fans and new audiences. The company engaged the @FFXVEN community with the #XVreasons campaign and aimed to dominate the gaming conversation ahead of release.
Twitter helped Square Enix amplify the campaign with a Promoted Trend and Promoted Tweets featuring a trailer and GIFs. The results were strong: #XVreasons generated more than 56M impressions, daily conversation doubled, new followers grew 5x, share of conversation rose from 14% to 42% on campaign day, and purchase intent increased 53.8%.
