SuperSport uses Twitter to give Euro 2016 fans exactly what they want

SuperSport, a major sports broadcaster, aimed to extend its Euro 2016 coverage beyond linear TV and capture fans’ real-time attention on Twitter. The challenge was to become the go-to provider for live highlights and personalised football content while increasing engagement and follower growth during the tournament.

By joining the live conversation with relevant hashtags, tweeting real-time broadcast clips, encouraging fan sharing and personalising messaging (using Creative Canvas and expanded reach), SuperSport drove strong engagement and follower growth. The campaign produced notable gains across key metrics (20%, 17.3% and 50%) and helped turn fans into brand ambassadors.
