MetroPCS builds excitement around a live event sponsorship with Periscope

MetroPCS (now Metro by T‑Mobile), the official wireless sponsor of the UFC, wanted to drive excitement and engagement around its UFC 193 sponsorship and the #WalkOutWithRonda promotion by bringing fans behind the scenes with live Periscope broadcasts promoted via Twitter.

Using Website Cards to get fans set up, Promoted Tweets and three teaser Periscopes during fight week, and partner amplification from the UFC and fighters, Metro amplified reach and real‑time engagement. The campaign increased live viewership, deepened fan engagement, and delivered strong results—3.4M, 40.6K and 37.6K on key metrics.
