How the Labour Party used First View to get out the vote on polling day

The Labour Party faced a high-stakes challenge on polling day during the UK general election of 2017: with turnout critical, it needed to reach as many voters as possible on 8 June and ensure its get-out-the-vote message cut through at the moments people decided whether to vote.

Labour ran a Twitter First View—an attention-grabbing video as the first ad of the day—focused on owning the timeline and keeping messaging simple (including a final “thank you” as polls closed). The campaign used expanding reach and audience insights to target voters and delivered strong results: 6.6M+ tweet engagements, 32.5M timeline impressions and 2.9M+ video views.
