TodayTix, a last-minute theatre ticketing app, wanted to reach 18- to 34-year-old theatre fans in new markets and turn them into repeat ticket buyers. Using Twitter Ads with Image App Cards, the company needed a way to target likely theatregoers by city, interest, and specific handles while creating urgency around same-day ticket sales.
Twitter helped TodayTix combine geotargeting, interest targeting, @username targeting, and mobile-only lottery campaigns to drive installs, purchases, and re-engagement in the app. The results were strong: Twitter delivered 14% to 15% higher revenue per install than other channels, a 19% greater share of repeat purchasers than premium display, and a 33% greater share than SEM.
