Aberdeen Asset Management, as title sponsor of the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, wanted to extend its sponsorship beyond TV by sharing European Tour video highlights with golf fans and financial professionals on social media. The challenge was to amplify the Tour’s compelling footage in a way that felt natural to audiences and reinforced Aberdeen’s reputation as a forward-thinking sponsor.
Aberdeen used Twitter Amplify, pairing emotive pre-roll featuring past champions with near‑live tournament clips and sponsoring the @EuropeanTour’s Tweets while targeting keywords, interests and geographies. Across 20 promoted video ads the campaign delivered over 3 million impressions, more than 1 million video views, a 64% average completion rate and very efficient CPMs (1p–2p), successfully putting the brand in front of its key audience.
