Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery, a division of Ferguson Enterprises—the largest plumbing wholesale distributor in the U.S.—used Twitter to showcase showrooms, answer customers, and join industry conversations. To extend their organic reach and grow a community of interior designers, builders, and contractors, the team launched a Twitter Followers campaign targeting those trade audiences across the U.S.
They ran segmented follower campaigns (targeting followers of trade publications and similar users), used direct call-to-action Tweet copy, and A/B tested creatives and targeting. The effort delivered roughly a 3,000% increase in new followers, a 104% rise in Twitter engagements, and drove higher-quality site traffic—Twitter visitors spent more time on the site and viewed more pages.
