Ster-Kinekor, a South African cinema chain, wanted to build prerelease buzz for the *Minions* movie, drive ticket sales, and run a visually rich campaign exclusively on Twitter. To do that, it used Twitter’s platform to reach movie fans and create anticipation around the film’s launch.

Twitter helped Ster-Kinekor run a 10-day storytelling campaign featuring roaming minions, Promoted Tweets, and Promoted Accounts, with community-managed posts and eye-catching images and GIFs. The campaign generated more than 300K Tweet impressions, reached an 18% peak engagement rate, and achieved an average CPE of R1.60.
