A Twitter Case Study
BillBachao is an India-based app that uses big data to help users find and switch to the most suitable mobile plans, targeting money-conscious 16–25 year olds and mobile-savvy college students. Facing the challenge of increasing app downloads, the team partnered with agency BeFoxy to run an app-installs campaign on Twitter to engage prospects and influencers where conversations about mobile plans were already happening.
They used keyword and geo-targeting to reach high-intent users, paired Tweets that asked questions to boost engagement, and implemented conversion tracking to optimize spend. The campaign drove a 56% increase in app installs, Tweets with questions produced about 8% more clicks, and BillBachao reported high retention from Twitter-acquired users plus two to three times more engagement than on other platforms.
