A Tungsten Automation Case Study
Zions Bancorporation, a leading regional bank with nearly 600 full-service offices, faced a major operational and compliance challenge: signature cards and hundreds of thousands of other customer documents were handled manually, often sitting in branches for days and taking up to 14 days to become electronically accessible. This created security risks, slow customer service and high processing costs, while requiring a solution that could be automated yet flexible enough for its many local banks.
Zions deployed Kofax Capture and Kofax Transformation across six of its eight banks to automate capture, extraction, indexing and classification at the point of origin. The rollout eliminated offsite scanning, sped up processing and exception resolution, reduced lost documents, improved customer service and user adoption, and is projected to save more than $700,000 over five years.
