Case Study: United States Air Force achieves secure, efficient digital payroll and travel processing with Tungsten Automation

A Tungsten Automation Case Study

Preview of the United States Air Force Case Study

The United States Air Force Digitally Transforms Financial Processes Across 140 Bases

The United States Air Force needed to stop physically mailing payroll and travel documents between bases—a slow, costly, loss-prone process with limited visibility—and wanted an extensible way to digitize and transport those records across 140 bases while meeting stringent DoD security requirements and enabling a transition to electronic (PDF) forms.

Kofax deployed a distributed capture solution (Kofax Capture, Kofax VRS Elite and Kofax Transformation) as the EIM DocIngest service to remotely scan, enhance and securely transmit transactions to the Air Force Enterprise Information Management system with x.509 authentication and high-availability infrastructure. The rollout improved image quality and extraction accuracy, sped processing, reduced costs, increased visibility and supported the Air Force Financial Services Transformation initiative while complying with security standards.
