Orange France Telecom Automates The Processing of 450,000 Invoices

Orange France Telecom (Orange) centralized its finance operations into a Shared Services Center (CSP) to industrialize accounting across subsidiaries and improve accounts payable for a large, distributed organization. Facing nearly 200 AP accountants, 12,000 purchase requestors and a rising retirement wave, the group needed to automate error‑prone manual invoice processing, speed month‑end closes, and deliver timely, reliable financial information without major new hiring.

They standardized on Oracle eBusiness Suite and deployed Kofax MarkView for AP to capture, validate and route some 450,000 invoices through automated workflows across two CSP sites. Invoices become visible in Oracle within 1–2 days, with end‑to‑end traceability and workflow alerts for actions. The rollout boosted registration productivity by 40%, roughly halved manual processing costs, improved supplier responsiveness and financial visibility, and freed staff to focus on higher‑value accounting tasks.
