A Tungsten Automation Case Study
MicroWarehouse Ltd, Ireland’s largest independently owned IT distributor, was struggling with a labour‑intensive accounts payable process: its finance team handled 10,000–15,000 vendor invoices a year that had to be printed and processed manually, causing month‑end delays. An initial push to move suppliers to EDI stalled, so MicroWarehouse engaged Kofax partner Glantus Adest to automate invoice intake and processing.
Adest implemented ADESTAP together with Kofax ReadSoft Invoices to capture emailed attachments (PDF, TIF, PNG, JPEG), automatically extract and validate invoice data, perform line‑item matching and approvals, and post transactions to MicroWarehouse’s SQL‑based Microsoft Dynamics ERP. The solution centralized invoices in a single mailbox, archives mailserver items, eliminated bottlenecks, enabled daily processing, sped up financial reporting and delivered a fast, significant ROI with less stress for the team.
