ICIS, part of Reed Business Information and RELX and the world’s largest petrochemical market information provider, needed to supply analysts with timely, accurate data from many online sources. Their manual process for collecting, collating and visualizing data was slow, repetitive and error-prone, limiting update windows and consuming significant staff time.

ICIS implemented Kofax RPA to build robots that automatically extract web tables and spreadsheets, load data into SQL and drive Tableau visualizations. With 155 robots in production (100 more in testing) running from every five minutes to once a day, the automation saves several person-days per day, delivers 24/7 accurate data, reduces errors and frees staff to focus on analytics and upskilling.
