A Tungsten Automation Case Study
Hyundai Motor Company Australia (HMCA) faced a growing paper‑invoice backlog and a decentralized approval process—about half of approvers were mobile and invoices often sat on desks—creating delays, lack of visibility and risk of late fees or missed discounts. The company needed a way to eliminate manual handling, improve accountability and give executives a clear view of vendor liabilities.
HMCA deployed Kofax Capture and Kofax TotalAgility, integrating with SharePoint and SQL to automate capture, PO matching, workflow, notifications and escalations. The solution eliminated manual routing, scaled easily from 40,000 to 55,000–60,000 invoices, cut average approval time to two days (maximum five) and achieved 99.9% of invoices approved within five days—delivering full transparency, faster payments and better financial control.
