A Tungsten Automation Case Study
GIE-UGIM, a 2005-founded group that pools resources for eight French civil‑service mutual benefit organizations serving over 800,000 members, needed a new CRM to better meet each organization’s specific needs. That change forced a re-evaluation of its document capture platform: the group had about 350 users and aimed to scale quickly to 600 while sharing capture capabilities across organizations without losing local flexibility.
GIE-UGIM stayed with Kofax, deploying Kofax Capture, Kofax Transformation and Kofax Communication Server to scan, clean, classify and automatically route documents and emails. The deployment increased productivity and reduced paper use—2 million pages scanned in one year versus 1.2 million previously—and delivered a scalable, networked solution ready to onboard additional organizations and remote sites.
